Hawkstone Builders Ltd has reached a milestone, we have been in business for 10 years. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we were not able to celebrate the occasion as we had hoped.

After working for a variety of builders and gaining first-hand knowledge of the industry, we had one goal as siblings - to do things our way. Establishing a new business in 2010 had its challenges, a particular challenge was to find ways to give Customers the confidence to use our services, one way was to become a member of the Federation of Master Builders who are the UK's largest trade association in the building industry. Today, we are proud of our success and reputation. From the start we set up facilities in our own homes but within a year we had moved into our current business address on Shangri-La Farm Business Park.

We are always so delighted to receive great reviews from our Customers, it makes what we do so worthwhile and we appreciate every one of you.

What other milestones have there been in the last 10 years - well, 23 million people tuned in to watch The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011. In 2012 the Olympics came to London, but it was one day in particular that made the list of WOW moments...'Super Saturday', the name given to the day Britain won three gold medals in just 44 minutes. The year 2012 also marked the Queens Diamond Jubilee, celebrating 60 years of ruling. On 9 September 2015, Queen Elizabeth II became the longest reigning British monarch when she surpassed the reign of her great-great-grandmother Victoria and who could forget Brexit, in 2016 the UK voted to leave the European Union.

This year has been a particularly tough time for everyone during the Coronavirus pandemic. We temporarily closed our business following Government guidance on 23 March 2020 and are please to have recently re-openend again and will continue to follow the guidance to keep our Customers, Colleagues and the wider community safe and well.
